With over a decade of experience as a Cert 3 Fully Qualified Fire Sprinkler Fitter, Luke Holden has had the privilege of working on a variety of projects that have honed his skills and deepened his understanding of Fire Safety.


Luke's hands on experience in the field has equipped him with the knowledge and expertise necessary to ensure that businesses are compliant with safety standards, and most importantly safe for the people in those businesses.

FAQ

  • What is involved in electrical testing and tagging?

    • A thorough visual inspection is completed, making sure the appliance is in working condition with no damaged to the outside of the appliance, flex cord or plug.
    • The appliance is then plugged into a PAT (Portable Appliance Tester) which runs a number of different tests depending on the items that you are testing.
    • Once testing is complete, the appliance will have either a Pass or Fail Result. 
    • A tag is then placed on the flex cord with the following tests date, retest date, pass or fail and an asset number.
  • How often should my Fire Safety Equipment be checked?

    • All portable Fire Equipment ie Fire Extinguishers, Fire Blankets, Fire Hose Reel are to be checked and maintained every 6 months as per AS/NZS 1851
  • How do I know when my appliance will need retesting?

    • We will remind you when your appliances are due for retesting with our automatic reminder system. 
  • Do you provide compliance Reports?

    • Yes, our testing services come with full compliance reports. We provide a detailed Asset Register and Test Results.
  • Can you replace damaged or Out of Service Fire Extinguishers?

    • Yes, when we complete our inspections, any damaged or out of services fire extinguishers will be recored in the report. We will then explain to the clients why they need replacing and organise the replacements for them.
  • Can you install new fire extinguishers?

    • Yes, we can provide and install new fire extinguishers. 
  • How often should I have my RCD Safety Switches Tested?

    • To ensure your RCDs are working correctly, they should be mechanically tested through the PAT Tester every 12 months, with a push button test every 6 months.
  • Can you check my First Aid Kits?

    • Yes we can replenish and replace your First Aid Kits. Your First Aid Kit should be inspected at least once every 12 months to ensure all items are within their expiry date.
